Exit Evil

Bronson (Dir. Nicolas Winding Refn, 2008)

Evil runs when no one is in pursuit.

It must move, or it will die.

It must feast, or it will wither.

It must be seen, or it will fade.

Evil pleads for attention, pants for the spotlight.

It can’t … it won’t…wait in the wing for long.

Evil runs when no one is in pursuit.

Its time is short. It is filled with rage.

Move. Feast. Bow. Die.

A short life. A loud life. A life lived centre stage.

The line that prompted this piece(“Evil runs when no one is in pursuit”) was provided by the aptly-named Twitter account Finish The Poem
